We don’t always brag but, a group of students came all the way from Mexico to check out our space! The students are a part of a Leaders in Canada delegation that came to Ontario to explore the innovation ecosystem in Toronto and Niagara. The delegation originally is from the state of Guanajuato, where the students have been provided a scholarship to participate on this experience from EDUCAFIN, the government education dependence. They chose to stop by Northspace (of all the coworking places in Toronto) to learn about coworking and entrepreneurship.

When we opened our doors, a sea of young bright eyed students walked in one after the other in awe of the space. After an introduction and tour, one of our members, Jacob Moshinsky, took the lead and spoke about his experience as an Canadian-Mexican entrepreneur. Jacob is the founder of Nurture Watch, a health and safety smart watch company. The students were completely engaged as Jacob explained his product and his story…all in spanish of course!

It was an amazing afternoon that underscored the importance of entrepreneurship, partnership and diversity, proving coworking is a truly global phenomena, one that we are extremely proud to be part of!
