Our members seriously rock! They participated as mentors to young adults part of the the Duke Heights Aspire Mentorship Program.

Duke Heights is a BIA that aims to bring together resources, programs, and information to help support our members and their businesses. The Aspire program is where post secondary aged youth visit businesses in the BIA in order to learn about entrepreneurship. As a procurer of local entrepreneurs, Northspace was asked to participate, and boy did we ever!

The mentees were first engaged by a presentation about the benefits of coworking. Our Community Manager explained the power of a collective creative community in the workforce. After this, the mentees got paired up with a Northspace member. Our members told them their individual stories, gave them advice pertaining to entrepreneurship and most importantly helped them realize that they too can follow their dreams. As the mentees rotated to different members, they were able to gain many different and exciting perspectives.

Days like these are what Northspace is all about – because we can’t be an insular community. Being part of Northspace means helping the community around us as well; passing all of our members’ collective knowledge onto others and helping them succeed!
